Though Prayer Is Mighty, It's Not Almighty.

Four of my friends in senior highs school came to Chungli to visit me yesterday and this is one of them :P

    Well, today I wanna share something about praying with you guys and its totally a whim... I don't know why. I was memorizing English vocabulary and all of a sudden I just want to write something on my Blog! Hum... as Christians, one of the things that we like doing the most is praying. However, a lot of time Christians only pray and whine and complain and get disappointed and then they leave Church.... Does God ignore their prayers or do people use the wrong way to pray? There's something I read about praying this morning. In Joshua, Chapter 7, verse 7 and 8 it says, "And Joshua said, O Lord God, why have you taken us over Jordan only to give us up into the hands of the Amorites for our destruction? If only it had been enough for us to keep on the other side of Jordan!", "O Lord, what am I to say now that Israel have given way before their attackers?" Apparently Joshua, at that time, was totally out of patience and started complaining to God. He used the word "only" in his payers. Nevertheless, now that we never know the better arrangement God has set for us, how could we know it's an "only"-situation? It's like Joshua was saying, "Hey God, it's all your fault. You totally messed everything up !! See? this is what you made!" The good news is that God has really high EQ.
    While praying, we should first introspect and think what we've done wrong and regret before God instead of having our finger point to others. Moreover,since our remarks are powerful, we should always make our prayers positive. It's really important, when our prayers are full with negative thinking, our emotions would absolutely be negative and so are the results. God wants us not to always pray for our failures but to try correcting the mistakes we made instead. Prayer has its time to accomplish and responsible actions are, without a doubt, necessary. We should never hinge only upon prayers. I think it's way too dangerous and it's actually tempting our God. We should not be asking God to do everything for us and in the ways we want. If we do so, it would be a up-to-down situation. God is not a subordinate to us at all.   
    Okay...done sharing :P I'm really happy to meet my old friends in Chungli yesterday. Actually I didn't meet two of them after graduating from senior school. Man it's really fast. Three years passed and we're all juniors in college.....too bad. They came after lunch and we had afternoon tea together. After that I took them to go around my campus and we chatted and took some pics. Since I was a bit in a pinch for time, we didn't spend much time in nightmarket. I brought them to CYCU nightmarket and briefly had something must-eat and they left. I hope in the foreseeable future we could have more time meeting up together. Spending time with family is the best and with friends is the second :P Oh...I've started missing my daddy and mom and my sister and my brother and my brother-in-law!! Haha :P
