New Year in Los Angeles

I had an entirely different Chinese New Year this time ---- in the States.
When this tiring semester eventually came to an end, I felt great because I knew I would be with my family again real soon. But this time I didn't spend my winter vacation in Kaohsiung, in the States instead. Even though I've been to the States several times, I'd never been here during winter. My mom's a person who is really afraid of cold weather. She told me to bring my super-thick jacket back home so that I could "survive" in the States. But apparently it's not that cold here. We spend almost all of our time indoors and my sis' house does have heater. I even think Chungli is much colder than San Gabriel. The humidity is always around 85~95% in Chungli even when it doesn't rain.

Though we don't have many outdoor schedules this time, I think it still rocks to stay home watching movies, reading books as well as playing with the two adorable cats all day long. Oh, most importantly, I've been "upgraded" to an uncle... Uncle Ivan.. As the matter of fact, the main purpose of our trip is to see Misha, my adorable Niece. And for my mom, of course, is to take good care of my sister. Since we stay home most of the time, there might not be too many things I can write. However, I still got one thing cool that is worth mentioning. We usually take a walk in the morning. And yesterday when I took a walk with my dad and mom, two people came to us, asking something "real serious". Afterwards I figured out they're actually plainclothes policemen. They're looking for some fugitives in the area. It was actually cool because I'd never thought I would be doubted as a criminal or something. I asked them, "Do I look like one?". They're like, "Oh..no no. No offense, we're just wondering if you saw somebody suspicious here". Perhaps it's because my dad and mom were both wearing sunglasses which made them look quite serious. Anyways, I'm doing really good here in the States. Although it's a pity we didn't have a family new year trip as usual this year, meeting up with my sis and brother-in-law is still a rare thing. Hum...I guess I need to work much harder in order to at least "communicate" with my niece in the future.. I believe she's not gonna speak a lot of Chinese....

Okay.....Listen! People. I'm selling some stuff from the States. Tell me if you're interested. I can provide you with special discount =)   LINK: --->    http://ppt.cc/xPJa
