This spring I experienced something quite different.
Haha..! I put this photo here just because I wanna emphasize that
Shawna was sooooo slender then LOL! I remember we knew each other because we
waited for school bus at the same stop everyday morning. Since both of us are
Christians, we soon became very close. Our student fellowship in KKSH began
with only four or five people. I’m so glad to hear that there’re so many students
in the fellowship now! Shawna wanted to visit me last year during the
228-memorial-day-vacation, yet I had another friend Tiffany that booked the
time earlier. Therefore, we finally had our wish fulfilled in the spring break
this year.
Actually we merely hanged out
three or four times together after graduating from senior high school. However,
as what I always say, true friends don’t need to meet every day to maintain their
friendship! Shawna arrived in Chung-li on Saturday night. I was yet to finish
the camp at that time. Thanks my friend 采薇 for picking her up and accompanying her till I came back the next
day. On Sunday night we went to the two must-see night markets in Chungli and
chatted till two o’clock a.m. As expected we couldn’t wake up when the alarm
rang… We woke up a bit late… On the first day we went to Taipei Zoo. The
weather was crazily hot! After we’re done seeing so many animals we went to Xi-Men
shopping district. We had a super greasy Japanese ramien as lunch which killed
our appetite. Kinda disappointed, Shawna decided to dye her hair.
On the second day of the trip I took Shawna to the
kitty village “Hou-Tong”. I’ve been there once and I do like it! We took a lot
of awesome pictures there. We also met a cute kitty, and it guided us to a very
high place. Shawna called the kitty “kitty elf”. After having lunch we sang
some songs together on a bridge above an abandoned mine nearby. That recalled
me a lot of memories in senior high school. I and Shawna once attended a
singing contest and won the second place. Her voice’s still beautiful!
Finally it came to the last day of the trip. I felt like
everything would come to an end once we woke up; as a result, we got up till
around 11:30 o’clock in the morning…even we did wake up around 6:30. It’s
always hard to say good bye to someone you really like, isn’t it? I almost
cried when Shawna said, “It’s the last 40 minutes we have” on the high speed
rail train back to Kaohsiung. Both of us felt so hollow after getting back to
our normal lives. Anyways, I’ve started looking forward to having a trip next
time, though it might be half of a year or longer later. Thank God for giving
me this very good friend! She’s just like my sister, a real family member! Love
Love! What a wonderful trip :)
